Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari today paid floral tributes to Telangana ideologue Professor Jayashankar to mark his birth anniversary. He offered a garland to the statue of Jayashankar at Warangal and saluted him and prayed for a while.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister stated efforts were being made to see that Prof. Jayashankar dreams become true.
”As per the dreams of Jayashankar, our government aims big to transform the State into a golden Telangana by achieving all-round development and inclusive growth, he said.
The State Government was determined to revival of caste and community based professions, he said. He also criticised the previous Congress and Telugu Desam Governments for ignoring the plight of caste based professions which collapsed. Now the TRS Government has launched Sheep rearing scheme and fisheries production in a big way to help flourish Yadavas and fishermen in the State in a big way. Besides, the government was giving priority to help other caste based professions like Dhobhis, Barbers and others. He also took a dig at the Opposition for failing to implement schemes of welfare for farmers, not completing irrigation projects and ignoring power and industrial sectors. Of course, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was toiling day and night for the cause of the poor and deprived classes, he added. (NSS)
