Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa is in a “grave situation”, Apollo Hospitals said on Monday.
The hospital tweeted: “Despite our best efforts, our beloved CM remains in a grave situation.”

The tweet comes soon after the hospital issued a statement saying the AIADMK leader’s condition was “very critical”.
She is being cared for by a highly expert multidisciplinary team and is now on extra corporal life support: Dr.Richard Beale #jayalalithaa

The 68-year-old Jayalalithaa, who has been in hospital since September, suffered a cardiac arrest on Sunday evening.
