Former glamorous heroine Jaya Prada, who entered UP politics and was elected to Parliament from the Rampur constituency, appears to be thinking of coming back to the State.
There are speculations about her future plans. Jaya Prada, who played an active role in the TDP and was also the party’s Rajya Sabha member has some how differed with Naidu and left the party. Now it is being said that she was planning to join the Congress.
Jaya Prada on Saturday participated in the release of a book on the 80 years history of films. As she participated in the program with Union ministers S. Jaipal Reddy and K. Chiranjeevi, there are speculations that she became closer to the Congress leaders.
Congress MPs G Vivek and Ponnam pranbakar have also participated in the program in which Jaya Prada’s speech appeared to be against creation of separate Telangana State.
Speaking on the occasion, Jaya Prada said that both the Telangana and Andhra people had loved and encouraged her. She said that now she was unable to understand if she was in United Andhra or United Telangana or Telangana. She made these remarks, mentioning the name of Sankar, director of the film “Jai Bolo Telangana”.
Stating that she had worked in nine Indian languages, Jaya Prada has said all the people had encouraged her. Recalling that she had met Satyajit Ray, she said she often felt sad that she did not have an opportunity to act in his film.
Jaya Prada said she did not like acting in films initially and had decided to act after watching film shootings. She said film industry had contributed not only to good artistes, but also good leaders. She has particularly mentioned about Chiranjeevi, who was on the dais. Jaya Prada has mentioned about actors of yesteryears like Savitri.
