Imphal, April 28: A soldier of 12 Madras Regiment allegedly shot two of his colleagues in Manipur’s Churachandpur district, 66 km south re, late on Tuesday.
The two junior commissioned officers were identified as Subedar Mrityunjaya of Tamil Nadu and Subedar Thanapa of Kerala. The accused rifleman Narayanan tried to flee, but was caught by his colleagues and handed over to the police.
“The army has ordered a high-level inquiry and disciplinary action will be taken against the soldier,” army sources told.
