New Delhi, Aug 7 : Minister of Environment and Forest Prakash Javadekar on Friday slammed Congress for carrying their Parliamentary logjam into the third week saying the opposition was holding the nation to ransom just for their ego.
He said this is causing ‘great harm to the democracy’ and hopes that ‘wisdom prevails in Congress’.
Javadekar blamed the opposition party for blockading economic progress and wasting the public money.
“Congress is holding the parliament and the democracy to ransom to just for their ego. They need to stop blocking the nation’s progress,” he told the media here.
Javadekar also warned the grand old party to return to parliamentary proceedings soon or else be answerable to the entire nation.
Congress continued their protest against the suspension of their 25 MPs by the Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan. Despite External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj’s statement yesterday, stating all accusations against her in the Lalit Modi-gate as false and baseless, the grand old party is not backing from their demand of Swaraj’s resignation.
