New Delhi: Union Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu on Monday said that the constituted committee, which he was heading, would examine and analyse the reasons behind the Jat community reservation row only after the situation normalised.
“Party has formed a committee but normalcy should return first, as we can only debate and analyse about all the issues when situation is normal,” Naidu told ANI here.
“What happened is condemnable and very unfortunate. There was no reason of violence,” he added.
Jat community leaders have been assured that reservation will be given on the lines of Special Backward Classes category.
Haryana Finance Minister Captain Abhimanyu had yesterday said that the government’s purpose is to provide reservation, which is definite and stands the test of law and the Constitution of India.
“Our purpose is to provide reservation which is definite and stands the test of law and the Constitution of India. Rajnath ji has made commitment to people that the Haryana Government will come up with a bill in the upcoming assembly session. I appeal to the protestors to end their protest as soon as possible,” Captain Abhimanyu told ANI.
The Central Government has set up a committee headed by Union Minister M.Venkaiah Naidu to look into demand of the Jats for reservation in Central Government jobs.
Talking to reporters in New Delhi yesterday, Home Minister Rajnath Singh said, the committee has been asked to submit a comprehensive report to find the solution of this problem. (ANI)
