New Delhi: Haryana government on Tuesday lifted the ban on mobile Internet services and SMS in Sonipat imposed in view of the Jat quota agitation.
District Magistrate Rajiv Rattan has withdrawn the order issued on February 18 banning Internet services like 2G Edge, 3G, 4G and GPRS, and bulk messages on mobile network as the situation has normalised in Sonipat, an official spokesman said.
He said these services were banned to check spread of rumours and violence.
