On the completion of 1 year of TRS rule in Telangana State, Jashn-e-Telangana programs are being organized. As a part of these programs Jashn-e-Urdu is arranged in Old City.
Prof. S.A. Shukoor, Director of Urdu Academy told that Jashn-e-Urdu program is being held under the stewardship of the Dept. of Minorities Welfare. Today, a two day seminar will be held at Urdu Maskan in the morning. In the evening an All India Mushaira will be held. A comedy program is also part of the celebrations.
Mushaira will be held at Quli Qutub Shah Stadium at 8 p.m. today. Noted poets like Dr. Waseem Bareilvi (Delhi), Dr. Rahath Indori (Mumbai), Ms. Shyama Singh Saba (Rai Bareili), Ms. Shabeena Adeeb (Kanpur), Majid Devbandi (Delhi), Ms. Lata Haya (Mumbai), Mr. Zia Tonki (Rajasthan) and Hamid Bhansalvi (Mumbai) will present their poems. The local poets include Mr. Salahuddin Nayyar, Mr. Muztar Majaaz, Dr. Akheel Hashmi, Ms. Tasneen Johar and others. Mr. Aslam Farshoori will conduct program.
A comedy night is being organized at 8:30 p.m. today at Khilwath Maidan. Noted Artists from Hyderabad like, Mr. Hamid Kamal, Mr. Gulam Subhani, Ms. Afshan Jabeen etc will participate. Ms. Afshan Jabeen will conduct the program.
