According to Mr. Aslam Farshouri Convenor Jashn, the Jashn-e-Telangana Committee formed by Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana state will present awards to Urdu, Telugu and Hindi, poets, writers, and social workers, belonging to 10 districts of Telangana, in appreciation of their literary, academic and social services. The awards will be given in a function held on December 12 at 6 pm, at Lalitha Kala Thoranam.
The award function will be followed by a Mushaira in which Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali will be the chief guest. National poets including Jauhar Kanpuri, Shabeena Adeeb, Nayeem Akhtar, Azm Shakiri, Nusrat Mehdi, Dr. Tabish Mehdi (Delhi), Shyama Singh Saba (Raebareli) and Hamed Bhusavali (Mumbai) will present their poetry.
