New Delhi: The 5th edition of Jashn-e-Rekhta organised at Major Dhyan Chand stadium of the national capita concluded with pomp and show.
The 3-day celebration was organised by Rekhta Foundation. A large number of Urdu lovers including children, youth and elderly attended the event. Morari Bapu inaugurated the event.
Rekhta Foundation is founded by Sanjiv Saraf a Marwari businessman in love with Urdu. The festival was first celebrated in 2015 and was organised at the India International Centre. Later the festival moved to Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts but when the number of audience crossed 75000 Saraf was forced to look for a stadium.
The massive turn out over the years proves that Urdu is not in danger and is not a language of one religion.
