Chennai, July 30: A seven-year-old Japanese boy, son of a top official of a Japanese carmaker near here, drowned in a swimming pool at their bungalow today, police said.
Police said Yukinawa, son of Hideoniwa, a Director of carmaker Nissan (India) at Oragadam, drowned while swimming with his twin brother in the swimming pool at their bungalow at Panayur.
The boys were found in the deeper part of the swimming pool and were immediately taken to a private hospital where Yukiniwa was declared brought dead.
Investigation is on to find out how the children moved to the deeper part of the pool, police said.
