Patna, March 16: Referring to the recent crisis in Japan, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today emphasised on the need to spread awareness among the masses about disaster management.
The people should be made aware of the steps that they should take when faced with disaster or natural calamities, he said at a function after unveiling logo, website and disaster reduction calender of the Bihar State Disaster Management Authority (BSDMA).
Referring to the tsunami and tremors in Japan recently, Kumar said that the calamities of these proportions must be treated as an eye opener. People should be informed about various steps that they should take to minimise losses in the event of calamities like flood, drought, earthquake, etc
