Jana Sure Of T-State By 2014; Going To Delhi To Apprise Sonia Of March

Senior Telangana Congress leader and Minister for Panchayat Raj Kunduru Jana Reddy here on Monday claimed that the Telangana March organized by the Telangana Political JAC on Sunday was totally successful.

Speaking to mediapersons, Jana Reddy said that a delegation of Congress leaders of Telangana would go to Delhi on Tuesday to explain the situation to party supremo and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and other Central leaders and about the urgent need for the Centre to announce formation of separate Telangana State immediately. Reddy exuded confidence that separate State would come into being by the 2014 elections.

Taking serious exception to the demand of the Telangana Political JAC that all the ministers from the region should submit resignations, he questioned the wisdom of the TPJAC to put forth such a needless demand. Stating that the TPJAC was the brainchild of the Congress leaders of the region and formed it themselves, Jana Reddy advised the JAC leaders not to resort to mutual criticism. He said the movement should be conducted with coordination of all the concerned to achieve the goal.

Reacting to Jana Reddy’s remarks, former president of TNGOs’ Union Swamy Goud said the JAC leaders were not demanding the resignations of the Telangana ministers, but the people of the region want them to quit their posts in order to compel the Union government to concede the State bifurcation demand. They (TPJAC leaders) were only conveying the views of the people of the region. Stating that they have great respect for the Panchayat Raj Minister, Swamy Goud said that Jana Reddy’s contribution to the movement was unforgettable. (NSS)
