Panchayat Raj Minister K Jana Reddy denied that the government has reached an agreement with the workers of gram panchayats to solve their problems during the agitation in August 2010.
Replying to a question raised by CPI leader C Seetaramulu, he said that the Commissioner of Panchayat Raj and Rural Employment has discussed and reached an agreement to implement certain demands of the employees. He said that the Commissioner reviewed the issue with District Panchayat officers and issued instructions for implementation of demands as per rules. (INN)
