Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Thursday, Jana Reddy said hundreds of party activists informed the State unit that they would participate in the ‘Padayatra’ of Rahul Gandhi in Adilabad district.
On the occasion, Jana Reddy demanded that the TRS government extend ex gratia of Rs 1 lakh to the families of farmers, who committed suicide, as per G.O. Stating that several changes have taken place in the last one decade, Jana Reddy urged the TRS government to examine the possibilities of enhancing the ex gratia amount up to Rs 10 lakh. Andhra Pradesh State has increased the ex gratia amount to Rs 5 lakh and the same is Rs10 lakh in other States, he said and urged the Telangana government to increase the ex gratia amount accordingly.
