The people in Jammu protested against the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA Government on Saturday for raising fuel prices twice in a fortnight.
“We demand that Prime Minister Modi stop his foreign trips and return to India and improve the economic conditions here. The way they have increased the price of petrol within 15 days, it’s like they have thrown a bomb on the people of India. They had promised us good days but these are rather expensive days,” said a protestor.
Earlier on Friday, petrol and diesel prices were raised for the second time in a fortnight. While petrol prices were hiked by 3.13 per litre, diesel prices were raised by Rs 2.71 per litre.
Following the revision, the price of petrol in Delhi would now become Rs. 66.29 per litre, while diesel would cost 52.28 per litre in Delhi. (ANI)
