New Delhi, October 24: Around hundred artists from Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh mesmerized thousands of people who gathered at Kalagram in Chandigarh during the inaugural ceremony of 10-day-long national crafts festival.
The magnificence of cultural diversity of Jammu and Kashmir delighted everyone. In this national-level event, Jammu and Kashmir is the theme state. The event has been designed on the model of famous Suarjkunj Mela.
SF Rodrigues, governor of Punjab and Chandigarh administrator inaugurated the fiesta on Saturday.
Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, North Zone Cultural Centre and Chandigarh Administration are the organizers of the event.
After inaugurating, Rodrigues strongly advocated the need for a well structured coordinated plan for strengthening connections of composite Indian culture.
