Jamiat Ulama gears up for relief work for Kerala flood victims

New Delhi: Jamiat Ulama has now geared up to undertake relief work in Kerala. President Jamiat Ulama’s e Hind Maulana Syed Arshad Madani told that Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind has made Mysore the centre for work as the border of Kerala lies at just 40 km away from Mysore. Hence it would be easy to shift relief items from Mysore to Kerala.

Maulana Arshad Madani said presently the situation in Kerala is worse and appalling. He said Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind relief committee wants to provide aid to the flood victims.

It must be noted that at least 324 people have been killed in flooding in the southern Indian state of Kerala in what local officials say is the worst flooding in 100 years.
