Jamiatul Ulama-e-Hind Andhra Pradesh submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, regarding minority issues, demanding reservations to Muslims in education and government jobs, implementation on the recommendations of Sachar committee and Justice Ranganath Misra commission. The memorandum also stated that terrorism is a heinous crime and no religion permits it.
Jamiatul Ulama-e-Andhra Pradesh strongly condemns linking terrorism with Muslims, stated the memo. It further demanded to keep madarsas out of the purview of the Right to Education Act as it will affect their identity.
The memorandum also stressed the need to protect Waqf properties and to enact strict laws to free Waqf lands from the clutches of land grabbers.
