Jamia firing ‘result’ of provocative remarks by BJP leaders?

NEW DELHI: The firing incident at Jamia Millia Islamia that took place in broad daylight of Thursday is the direct result of the inflammatory statements and hate speeches made by the BJP leaders in the recent past.

Netizens believe that provocative speeches made by senior BJP leaders some of whom also hold cabinet positions in the recent past against the backdrop of Delhi State Assembly elections that are scheduled for February 8.

Recently during the course of campaigning, MoS Finance Anurag Thakur sparked a controversy by urging and encouraging the crowd at an election rally in Delhi to chant after him – ‘ Desh kay gaddarauN ko/ ‘Goli maaro saalaoN ko, or shoot down traitors. Though he did not name any ‘gaddar’ the message was clear that it could be the members of the minority community or those who are sitting on protest at Shaheen Bagh against the CAA-NRC laws.
