New Delhi: Jamia Millia Islamia will soon have a herbal garden on its campus to give its students an opportunity to identify medicinal plants and carry out specific research projects in domains of bio-technology, bio-chemistry and alternative medicine.
The university today signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine in this regard.
“Both the institutions would be collaborating for the development of medicinal plants besides conducing high-level research and popularising medicinal plants among students,” the varsity said in a statement.
The garden would offer the faculty and students an opportunity to jointly identify medicinal plants that would help them carry out specific research projects in domains of bio-technology, bio-chemistry and alternative medicine, it added.
