Dhaka, May 12 (ANI): The International Crimes Tribunal-1 on Sunday issued an arrest warrant against Jamaat-e-Islami leader A K M Yusuf, known as the founder of the Razakar force, an auxiliary group of then Pakistan army.
After issuing the warrant, the tribunal directed Yusuf to appear before it within May 26, the Daily Star reports.
During the day’s proceedings, the court also took 15 charges brought against the Jamaat leader into cognisance.
The war crimes charges include genocide, killing, looting, arson, religious conversion and deportation of people.
Earlier, the prosecution on Thursday submitted formal charges against Yusuf to the ICT-1 through the registrar’s office. (ANI)
