Jaitley calls for propagation of Ayurveda

New Delhi: Ayurveda merits vigorous promotion across the country for the people at large to realise its benefits, Union Minister of Finance, Corporate Affairs, Information and Broadcasting Arun Jaitley said on Monday.

There should be a spread in the awareness of this wellness science in today’s age when the Ayurveda community is adopting modern methods for further development of the ancient system, he said while inaugurating the silver jubilee celebrations of Dr. Sudha’s Ayurveda Kendra here.

Other dignitaries who spoke at the Ashok Hotel function, which presided over by Rajya Sabha deputy chairman Prof. P.J. Kurien, include former union minister O. Rajagopal,

K.V. Thomas, MP, AYUSH Secretary Ajit M. Sharan, Dr. Akhil Mishra of Apollo Hospital,veteran journalist N Asokan and Dr. Sudha Asokan of the Ayurveda Kendra. Dr. Shruti Muraleedharan proposed thanks.

This was followed by a light-music programme by well-known artists Ajith G Manian and Javed Aslam.
