Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today assured new States of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh that the Centre would fulfill all promises made during the debate on AP Bifurcation Bill.
Presenting the first budget of Modi government, Jaitely said the Centre was also committed for the development both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States. He allocated funds in the budget for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States. Stating that the Centre was sincere in developing Telangana, Jaitley said the NDA government would establish a horticulture university in Telangana. It would also take up all developmental works with the help and coordination of concerned ministries as per the plans envisaged in AP Bifurcation Bill.
In AP, a hardware park would be set up and National Customs and Excise Academy would be set un at Hindupur. The Centre would help further develop Kakinada Port, AIIMS, IIT, Agricultural University, Industrial Smart City at Krishnapatnam besides Vizag-Chennai industrial corridor, he said. (NSS)
