Jaitley asks students to achieve academic excellence

Kapurthala, October 25: Senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley today asked students of a local women’s college to achieve academic excellence, saying average knowledge has no place in today’s highly competitive world.

“Today knowledge is power and only the fittest would survive in this battle as the average students have no place in the present situation,” Jaitley said asking students of the Hindu Kanya College here to pursue excellence in studies.

Jaitley was here to confer degrees on 670 graduates and postgraduates of the college.

However, the Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha avoided the press and refused to discuss political issues with local BJP leaders.

College Management President Tilak Raj said Jaitley was not feeling well and the management had to cut short the function and cancell a planned press conference and a meeting with local BJP leaders on his advice.
