Hyderabad, March 27: In the backdrop of divisions within the party over the Telangana issue and others, senior Congress leader S Jaipal Reddy today asked party functionaries to be united.
“Congress is facing difficulties in our state due to some reasons. But we need to work collectively and with courage (to overcome them),” the Union minister said.
The party in Andhra Pradesh is beset with problems like the divide among party leaders over Telangana issue, the Jagan factor and the open war of words between minister N Raghuveera Reddy and senior party MLA J C Diwakar Reddy over the defeat of a Congress candidate in the recent MLC polls.
Jaipal Reddy was addressing a function at Gandhi Bhavan, the state Congress headquarters, to felicitate party president D Srinivas on completing three years in office.
