Jagdish Reddy flays Cong corruption Jibe

The Telangana Minister for Power G Jagadish Reddy today said that he will come out clear of allegations of irregularities being leveled by opposition parties.
Talking to press persons at Nalgonda, the minister condemned the remarks made by Congress making false allegations of corruption charges. The Congress leaders’ lacked guts to take him on politically, and hence making mindless allegations, he fumed. He rubbished as baseless the allegations being made by the Congress. The minister further asserted that he will come out clean of the corruption charges like a pearl.

He sought to know how the money comes when he took serious action against Engineering Colleges for not maintaining norms and standards. The TRS Government had acted tough on the ‘erring’ engineering colleges, he said. The Government is not ready to entertain any longer such accusations, he said. The corruption charges are baseless and ‘I will take serious action against the congress leaders’, the minister warned. The Congress which claims to be a national party is acting like a district level paper, he ridiculed.

Reacting on power sector crisis, he said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has released Rs 350 crore towards purchase of additional power. He said that steps have been initiated to root out corruption in the power sector. He also stated that the TRS Government is taking measures to strengthen power sector in the state to tide over the present crisis. Efforts are also being made to cleanse up Musi River, he added. (NSS)
