Nellore, October 13: After successfully completing his ‘Odarpu yatra’ (tour for consoling) in Prakasam district, Congress MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy tonight began his tour in neighbouring Nellore district.
Jagan’s yatra entered Chevuru village in Nellore district and the Kadapa MP consoled the family of Venkateswarlu and also unveiled a statue of his father late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy at Rudrakota village.
Speaking on the occasion, Jagan said YSR had occupied a permanent place in the hearts of the people because of the innovative welfare schemes like free power for farmers, old age pensions, tuition fees reimbursement for farmers launched by him.
TDP’s rebel MLA N Prasanna Kumar Reddy, who has been making critical remarks against his parent party for long, participated in Jagan’s visit to Rudrakota village.
