Jagan’s Loyalist Startles House

Hyderabad, December 15: The speech of Mr Jogi Ramesh, Pedana MLA and Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy’s staunch supporter, has raised many an eye brow of the Opposition as well as ruling party members.

Surprisingly, the ruling party has given a chance to Mr Ramesh, who never spoke in the Assembly, to speak on the discussion on an important issue of farmers’ plight in the State. Mr Ramesh, while speaking on the farmers’ issue, chanted the name of former chief minister late Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, many a time.

Mr Ramesh said that the credit goes to late YSR, who had fulfilled his promise to farmers that he would first sign on the file of free power supply to the farmers in the State and Mr Chandrababu Naidu has no right to speak on farmers’ issues.

Referring indirectly to Mr Chandrababu’s tours and dharnas over farmers’ issue, Mr Ramesh said that some of the leaders in the House were acting greater than the Hollywood, Bollywood and Tollywood actors. He also showered praise on the new Chief Minister, Mr N Kiran Kumar Reddy, by saying the Chief Minister was ‘young’.

Responding to his remarks, some of the TDP members loudly said, “what about Jagan? How many hours will you stay with the Congress party?

Reacting to it, Mr Ramesh said that some of you get fever if one refers to the name of ‘Jagan’ (Jagan peru antene kondariki Jwaram). He said that it was not the issue now. Referring to Mr Chandrababu Naidu’s nine-year rule, Mr Ramesh said that how many years one ruled was not important, but the culture of the man was important.

Mr Ramesh, at last, thanked the Deputy Speaker and Chief Minister for giving a chance to speak in the House for the first time.
