YSRCP Chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy’s Jala Deeksha against the Telangana irrigation projects evoked support in Andhra Pradesh but stiff opposition in Telangana State. Jagan’s deeksha entered second day on Tuesday.

TRS activists resorted to attack YSRCP offices across the Telangana state against YS Jagan’s deeksha. On Tuesday, the TRS activists attacked YSRCP office in Mahbubnagar town and destroyed furniture. They also burnt an effigy of Jaganmohan Reddy in protest. When the YSRCP activists alerted the police on phone, the cops rushed to the spot and dispersed the TRS activists by convincing them.

On the other hand, the YSRCP leaders in Andhra Pradesh were happy with the success of the Jala Deeksha undertaken by the party chief. Party workers from various parts of Andhra Pradesh were rushing to Kurnool and extending solidarity with Jagan’s deeksha.

In Hyderabad, TRS activists burnt an effigy of Jagan at Chilukanagar crossroads. Later, they destroyed the YSRCP flag post in protest. (NSS)
