Kathmandu: The annual festival of Jagannath Yatra commenced in Nepali capital, Kathmandu on Saturday with hundreds of devotees singing and dancing on the main roads.
The annual chariot procession organised by the ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness), Nepal has now proved to connect Kathmandu and New Delhi.
“This has helped in promoting the cultural reconciliation and at this point of time these two nations, India and Nepal are interlinked with each other over culture and emotion. It has played the role in further strengthening the relationship between the two nations,” Dr Sanjeev, Vice- Chairperson of the ISKCON, Kathmandu told ANI.
The chariot procession which started from Lainchaur area of Kathmandu toured the inner circle of the capital city with estimated over 5000 devotees.
It is the 35th series of Jagannath Yatra that commenced in Nepal. (ANI)
