Jagan Will Outshine His Father: Konda Surekha

Warangal, December 07: The former minister and die-hard loyalist of Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy, Ms Konda Surekha, has said that ideals and aspirations of late Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy would be the source of inspiration for a new political outfit to be floated by his son and the former Kadapa MP, Mr Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Speaking to mediapersons at her residence here on Tuesday, the belligerent Congress leader, Ms Surekha said that the weaker and underprivileged sections were eagerly waiting for Mr Jagan’s new party. Exuding confidence that like his father, Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy would also become an ideal leader, she noted that the people of State were keenly watching how the Congress party pushed him to the wall and made him to quit the party and post on his own.

Ms Surekha also said that the women in the State ought to worship late Mr Rajasekhara Reddy every day. Stating that no other previous government had done anything for the welfare and empowerment of women, she said that late YSR had brought light in the lives of women by launching welfare programmes like the Pavala Vaddi, widow pension scheme and Abhayahastam. “Mr Y S Jagan can win the hearts of women, if he introduces some other women welfare oriented programmes, while continuing the existing YSR schemes”, she opined.
