Hyderabad, May 6: “My father had provided 4 percent reservation to eliminate educational and economic backwardness of Muslims and YSR Congress party while abiding by that will provide 4 percent political reservation to eradicate political backwardness of Muslims.” YSR Congress party chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy promised this to Muslims.
Talking to Siasat news during an exclusive talk he said ‘as my father late Y S Rajshekhar Reddy had provided 4 percent reservation in education and employment as promised and had ensured it even after facing so many obstacles, similarly YSR Congress party while continuing those reservations will provide political reservations.” He said all the political parties raised hue and cry when the issue of Muslims’ development and justice was raised.”
He claimed ‘BJP cannot see Muslims on the path of development and it doesn’t want that Muslims achieve eminence in the state. He reiterated ‘BJP with a conspiracy tried to keep Muslims away from me’
Jagan asked Muslim leaders of Congress to ask their conscience whether they were not ignored in the matter of giving tickets’.
