Jagan Turned A Plunderer Because Of Vijayamma: Anam

Finance Minister Anam Ramanarayan Reddy has assailed YSR Congress honorary president Vijaya Lakshmi, charging her of encouraging her son Y S Jaganmohan Reddy to become a plunderer.

Talking to the media after he and other ministers met Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy on the Dharmana Prasada Rao issue, Anam alleged that Vijayamma encouraged Jagan to rob the State when Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy was chief minister. Because of Jagan, now the leaders of weaker sections were being victimized, he added.

Anam also alleged that the YSR Congress had joined hands with the TDP and the two parties were working with the sole aim of dislodging the Congress. This became known even during the voting on the no-confidence motion of the TDP against the government.

Accusing Vijayamma of chanting the “BC mantra” for the survival of her party, Anam asked why she was not opening her mouth when BC ministers were going to jail for the misdeeds of her son. He also said that Vijayamma has announced 100 seats for the BCs only to escape from their wrath. Stating that Vijayamma had not shed a single tear for the ministers and IAS officers going to jail, Anam said she was shedding crocodile tears now, to once again cheat the BCs.

Replying to questions, Anam said that they (ministers) would all stand by the ministers who were facing charges in Jagan case. He said that 22 ministers met the Chief Minister and discussed about CBI’s charges and other issues. He said it was decided that they should obtain legal opinion on cabinet decisions on which CBI was now probing.
Anam said that the Congress would follow a specific policy with regard to the arrested minister Mopidevi Venkata Ramana and Dharmana Prasada Rao who was named accused in the Vanpic case. He said all the ministers would stand united in the matter. Stating that the Chief Minister has assured them that he would take the matter to the notice of the Congress high command, Anam has said there was need for the Chief Minister and the PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana to take the initiative in the matter.

He said that they have requested the Chief Minister to hold discussions with the Congress high command so that party could be saved in the State. Asked about resignation of ministers, who had received notices from the Supreme Court for issuing 26 controversial GOs that had allegedly favoured Jagan, Anam said he would not respond to it for the present.
