Jagan to take part in membership drive

Hyderabad, September 30: Jagan Mohan Reddy is understood to have decided to take a plunge headlong into active politics and hand over his business activities to his family members, regardless of how long the party would take to decide on who should be the Chief Minister of the State.

According to sources close to Jagan, the young MP has made up his mind to follow the `footsteps’ of his father late Rajasekhara Reddy.

As part of it, he will start spending his time on political activities and not to involve in his regular business.

He apparently wants to spend his entire life in politics and that he is not contemplating to engineer any split in the Congress over his coronation as the chief minister of the state.

As for his immediate priorities, Jagan is planning to take part in party’s membership drive scheduled to take place from October 2 to 15.

Before participating in the membership drive in Kadapa on October 2, Jagan who is now in Bangalore, will first pay a visit to his father’s grave in Idupulapaya estate.

He will then visit Pulivendula Assembly segment, home constituency of his father, and involve in party activities. He will return to Bangalore and stay there for a few days before returnig to Hyderabad.

According to Jagan’s aides, he wants to spend three days in Hyderabad, two days in Kadapa in a week. It is learnt that the Kadapa MP will take up issues of public importance.
