Hyderabad, January 27:Refuting the charges leveled by the Chief Minister Mr N Kiran Kumar Reddy against late Dr YSR and his son Mr YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Mr Jagan’s staunch supporters have challenged the Chief Minister to move a confidence motion in the Assembly if he was confident that he has won the election without late Dr YSR photo.
They released an open letter to the media comprising 14 questions challenging Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy to move a confidence motion in the Assembly to prove his majority.
Speaking at the Assembly media point here on Wednesday along with the MLAs Mr Balineni Srinivas Reddy, Mr Mekapati Chandrashekar Reddy, Mr G Babu Rao and MLC Mr Prabhakar Rao, the former Minister Mr Pilli Subhash Chandrabose said that it was not proper to indulge in negative publicity against late Dr YSR and his family. He said that it was not proper for Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy to say that late Dr YSR had asked him to do an unethical thing, after the latter died. He wondered where was the need for Dr YSR to ask Mr Kiran for a recommendation to get appointment with the late Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao, as he himself was a top leader in the state.
He made it clear that Dr YSR was the reason for their political development and hence they were supporting their son Mr Jagan, who was fighting for the sake of people. He said, “People won’t forgive us if failed to take part in the Deekshas taken up by Mr Jagan”.
He dared Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy, who was asking the MLAs sailing along with Mr Jagan to resign, to resign first and said that they were ready to quit their posts too. He challenged Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy to move a confidence motion if the latter has the guts and confidence that he won the election without the photo of Dr YSR.
Finding fault with the statement of the Chief Minister that he had protected Mr JAgan in a murder case, Mr Subhash Chandra Bose said that the CB-CID has given a clean chit to Mr Jagan and it was not correct for Mr Kiran to talk like that.
He made it clear that they will not topple the Congress government because it was the result of late Dr YSR’s hard work. He said that he and others were loyalists of Dr YSR.
Mr Balineni Srinivas Reddy said that they will not return to Congress party even if AICC president Ms Sonia Gandhi requests them. He made it clear that Mr Jagan would float a party and he will abide by the dictates of the latter.
Mr Babu Rao has challenged Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy to resign first instead of making provocative statements and asking them to resign from the party. He said that he was elected as an MLA just because of Dr YSR and not with the photo of Ms Sonia Gandhi or any others.
