Kadapa MP and YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy today lambasted the Centre for planning to divide the State without taking into consideration the interests of the people of Seemandhra.
Addressing a public meeting at Idupula paya in Kadapa district after being unanimously elected party President for second time, Jagan said they will give seven hours free power to farmers, if voted to power. “We will set aside Rs 3,000 crores towards stabilization fund for farmers in the State besides focusing on welfare schemes”, he said. “We can hold key at Centre by winning more than 30 MP seats during 2014 general elections”. He said they should support a Prime Minister, who will oppose State bifurcation and protect the State from division.
Jagan took serious exception to Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy for playing to the tunes of Congress high command with regard to Telangana demand. He alleged that it is shameful on part of TD president N Chandrababu Naidu, who is seeking votes taking the name of NTR, whom he backstabbed. Jagan also accused Kiran and Naidu of colluding for political mileage and failed to prevent the division of the State.
YSRCP honorary president YS Vijayamma, Jagan’s sister Sharmila were among those present in the program attended by a sizeable number of leaders and activists. The meeting announced a new list of YSRCP presidents of all 23 districts. (NSS)
