Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Monday said that former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy advised him not to speak against the Congress party any time.
Participating in the by-election campaign at Draksharamam in Ramachandrapuram in East Godavari district, Kiran Kumar Reddy stated that he was following YSR’s words sincerely and never spoke against the Congress party anytime. Two days before the death of YSR, Kiran Kumar Reddy said that YSR convened a meeting with all the leaders including Jagan Mohan Reddy and advised all not to work or speak against the Congress party.
However, he wondered as to why MP Jagan Mohan Reddy was not following his father’s words and aimed his politics to ruin the Congress party.
Stating that the Congress committed for the welfare of women, he called upon party rank and file to work for fulfilling the last dream of YSR, who wants to see Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi as the Prime Minister of country by 2014. He appealed to the party leaders to explain to people the reasons that caused by-elections and expose their hidden agenda and greed for power.
Kiran Kumar Reddy accused Jagan of conspiring with TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao and TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu in order to dislodge his government. He appealed to people to support Thota Trimurthulu in the Ramachandrapuram assembly constituency and teach a fitting lesson to Pilli Subhash Chandrabose of YSR Congress candidate.
