Jagan, Naidu two sides of same coin: Palvai

Stating that YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was involved in such a scam which could be named as a biggest scam across the world, the Rajya Sabha member Palvai Goverdhan Reddy alleged that Jagan had involved in murderous activities, illegal actions and several atrocious acts and hence he must be killed by stoning or in a shootout, the punishments imposed on culprits in other countries, to stop others from resorting to such activities. He said that nobody will escape from punishment.

Speaking to the media at CLP office here on Wednesday along with former PCC president P Narsa Reddy and MLC Bhanu Prasad, Palvai said that people could understand what is correct and what is not, by listening to the allegations of Naidu and Jagan. He said that there were allegations that Jagan had earned one lakh crore rupees during his father Dr YSR’s regime. Even CBI was collecting evidences in support of the allegations. He said that even though Jagan earned one lakh crore rupees illegally, YSRCP leaders were claiming that their candidates in 18 constituencies would emerge as winners and hoping that Jagan would become Chief Minister sooner or later.

Alleging that both TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu and YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy were two sides of the same coin, Palvai has questioned as to how they earned thousands of crores of rupees within short span of time.

Naidu, forgetting his 60,000 acre land allocation to the private firms, was saying that development took place during the TDP regime and corruption was taking place during the Congress regime. He said that Naidu sold out 28 major industries including world famous Nizam Sugar Factory, several co-operative sugar factories and liquor factory– all located in Telangana region, at meager price. He alleged that Naidu polluted the State laying foundation stone for ‘corruption’. People did not believe Naidu because of his well known corrupt practices. He said that Naidu did single but Jagan did double corruption in the state. Palvai said that he will put his efforts to take back the factories like Nizam Sugars in Telangana region along with like minded leaders.

Finding fault with YSRCP honorary president Vijayamma’s criticism against Congress party, Palvai said that the state and Central governments have no guts to order an inquiry on Jagan’s alleged amassing assets, but the High Court had ordered CBI probe and the Congress has no link with the ongoing CBI inquiry into Jagan case. He said that Jagan has to accept his mistakes and has to assure the people that he will not commit a mistake in future and he has to give back his ill-gotten money and then he has to seek vote.

Pavlai said that he will submit the information to the High Court if it wanted with regard to Jagan’s case. He alleged that irregularities took place even in ‘Jalayagnam’ and the responsibility has to be owned not only by the leaders but also bureaucrats. He alleged that one officer named ‘Adithya Das’, the main corrupt officer appointed by late Dr YSR, has destroyed the irrigation department along with advisors like ‘Anantha Ramulu’. He said that even today Adithya Das was sanctioning false bills to the contractors. Palvai opined that CBI has to investigate into Adithya Das irregularities instead of former Irrigation Minister Ponnala Laxmaiah.

SAVE IRRIGATION DEPT

He urged the High Court and CBI to inquire into the irregularities of Adithya Das, officer in Irrigation Department, and demanded the State government to revise the estimates of the Pranahitha- Chevella project and allot the works afresh. He said that the contractors have pocketed Rs.300 crores without any work in Pranahitha-Chevella’s 27th package. He also demanded the State government to remove Adithya Das and advisor Anantha Ramulu immediately from their positions to save irrigation department.

He also said that Polavaram project will not be completed with the present design and it was only possible to complete it with the construction of three barrages on Godavari River. He said that he explained everything to the Prime Minister too on it.

Responding to a question, Palvai said that people would cast their vote to Telangana in Parakala constituency. Congress was fighting there seriously and even the Congress was in favor of separate Telangana. Creation of Telangana state was not possible with the small parties.

Asked about YSRCP contestant in Parakala constituency Konda Surekha, he said that people knew very well as to why she submitted her resignation.

When asked about Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajgopal’s statement that the state will remain united if the people cast their vote to Congress candidates, Palvai dubbed Rajgopal as a ‘Joker’. He said that there were many ‘jokers’ in the Congress party.

COMPLAINT AGAINST MEKAPATI

Bhanu Prasad said that he will lodge a complaint with the Election Commission demanding it to declare the YSRCP MP candidate Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy contesting from Nellore constituency as an ineligible candidate as he was saying that he was ready to participate in betting that he will easily win the election. Bhanu Prasad said that Mekapati himself announced that he will bet Rs.10 crore on his win. “Mekapati also said that he will get back his money Rs.10 crore invested in the election means he spent Rs.10 crore. According to the constitution betting is a crime and spending money in the election campaign was also a crime and according to his own statements, Mekapati is punishable”, he said. (NSS)
