Jagan Meets President; Urges him to keep AP United

YSRCP President Y S Jaganmohan Reddy today called on the President Pranab Mukherjee and urged him to keep Andhra Pradesh united.
He met the president at 12.30 pm and submitted a five page report requesting him to intervene and keep the state undivided. Jagan has already met some national leaders during his earlier visit to Delhi seeking their support in keeping the state united.

After calling on the president Jagan told the media that he apprised the former that after bifurcation the state may face severe water problems. He also informed the president that it was not proper to divide the state where Telugu speaking people have been living together since 60 years.

YSRCP chief said he also informed the president about article 371 (D) and added that the President has responded sympathetically to his pleas.

Meanwhile, Jaganmohan Reddy along with party leaders met Janata Dal (U) president Sharad Yadav and sought his help for samaikyandhra. Jagan is now scheduled to go to Bhubaneswar in Odisha to meet Chief Minister Navin Patnaik tomorrow.(NSS)
