Jagan-led YSRCP delegation to meet Governor on TDP illegalities

YSR Congress party delegation, led by party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, will meet Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan tomorrow and lodge a complaint against TDP Government’s role in the fraud committed on democracy in the conduct of elections to the chairpersons of municipalities, MPPs and ZPPs.

The delegation will include party MLAs and senior leaders, party spokesperson and MLA Srikanth Reddy told reporters here today.

Srikanth Reddy said that people have already begun hating the TDP Government’s rule for its role in committing fraud on democracy in the conduct of the municipal and local bodies’ chairperson elections and for its miserable failure in keeping its election promises.

“With Naidu in confusion and speaking in different voices on implementing his promise of farm loan waiver, and with his open support for his party leaders in making a mockery of democracy in the chairperson elections, people are hanging their heads in shame,” Srikanth Reddy said, adding that the elements of nature also stopped cooperating with the Government led by a sinful Naidu.

Wondering whether we are in a democracy at all, he said TDP Government suppressed the voice of the opposition by intimidating YSRCP Municipal councilors, MPTC and ZPTC members and resorting to poaching and baiting them with monetary and other benefits for undue political gains.

“TDP has scant respect for democracy and democratic processes,” he said and remarked: “Naidu talks of simplicity in AP but in Hyderabad he is spending Rs.10 Cr to refurbish his office. People are suffering with heavy power cuts and losing jobs. He is not even in a position to think of the women folk and their problems.”

Chandrababu Naidu raised curtains for bad precedents by allowing anarchic and rowdy raj to prevail in place of democratic traditions in the just concluded chairperson elections, Srikanth Reddy observed. (INN)
