YSR Congress president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has been spending his jail time more enthusiastically than before after his party posted a stunning victory in the just-concluded by-elections, said sources.
It is learnt that Jagan wanted to distribute sweets to the prisoners after the election victory, but the jail authorities have not permitted him to do so. It is learnt that as per the jail rules, outside food was not allowed.
It may be mentioned here that on Saturday, nine of the 15 victorious candidates of his party have met him in the jail to share their joy with him. It is learnt that Jagan has advised them to devote themselves to the service of their constituents so that the party would be able to generate trust that would help it in the 2014 general elections.
MLAs-elect Pinnelli Rama Krishna Reddy, Srikant Reddy, Amarnath Reddy, Gurunatha Reddy, Karunakara Reddy, Chennakeshava Reddy, Sucharitha, Balineni Srinivasa Reddy and Kapu Ramachandra Reddy have met Jagan in the jail. Apart from them, former TDP MP M V Mysoora Reddy and MLA Sujaya Krishna Ranga Rao, who has recently resigned to Congress and his Legislature membership have also met Jagan. (NSS)
