Jagan imagines he is CM

CBI counsel has argued that Jagan feels as if he was the Chief Minister. He has alleged that Jagan has committed an economic offence to the tune of Rs. 43,000 crores. He said the agency has investigated into the irregularities by Bharati Cements, Vanpic and two other companies.

Stating that the agency has already filed 3 charge-sheets in the case, CBI counsel has said they would file four more. The counsel has also alleged that Jagan has threatened the witnesses and contended that he does not deserve bail. The agency’s counsel also informed the court that they have collected 164 statements and suspect that Jagan’s companies received money from France. Stating that investigation was on in that angle, CBI counsel has said that they had written to concerned authorities in France and a reply was awaited.

JUDGE REPRIMANDS CBI COUNSEL

The lawyer of the CBI while stating that Jagan was imagining that he was the Chief Minister, said his party got 15 seats in the recent by-elections because ‘innocent voters’ voted for it.

The judge has reprimanded CBI counsel for calling the people innocent. The judge asked him not to repeat such comments.

CBI counsel has argued that winning in the by-poll would not mean that law has given Jagan a clean chit. CBI counsel is expected to complete arguments on Thursday, when judgment is expected.(NSS)
