YSR Congress Party chief and Opposition Leader in AP Assembly YS Jagan Mohan Reddy hoisted the national flag at the party headquarters at Lotus Pond on the 70th Independence Day on Monday.
While greeting the people of both the Telugu States, YS Jagan said, “We have a long way to go to take pride in our independence as the governments have failed to fulfill the ambitions and aspirations of the people.” Jagan paid tributes to freedom fighters. Speaking on the occasion, he said Chandrababu Naidu government was least bothered about the welfare of the people and development of the State and was deceiving people with all false promises. He said it is a matter of serious concern that Dalits are being attacked even today and called for a united fight for social justice to the underprivileged sections of the society. (NSS)
