Dadi Veerabhadra Rao, the new entrant of the YSR Congress has said that the YSR Congress chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy was a gutsy leader.
Speaking to the media at the party office here on Saturday, he said though Jagan was in the jail, it was he, who would be the Chief Minister. Describing Jagan as a power and not an individual, he called upon all the party ranks to work with the single-minded aim of making him the Chief Minister. He said he would work for bring the YSR Congress into power. Stating that the society wants change, he said there was a very strong desire among the people to give power to the YSR Congress.
Dadi said after N T Rama Rao, it was Dr. Y S Rajasekhara Reddy who introduced similar welfare schemes for the people.
When asked about the corruption charges, he questioned if there was any party that was not facing such charges and added that the Prime Minister himself was caught in the mire of corruption charges. He said people would no longer trust Chandra Babu Naidu.
Stating that Jagan told him that he would continue to fight against the Congress despite being jailed, Dadi said this was the quality of a leader with guts. He also stated that he joined the YSR Congress to uphold his self-respect and not for any position. Dadi said he was willing to work with Konatala and dismissed reports about differences with him as the creation of the media. Stating that Konatala was a responsible leader, Dadi said they would all join together and work for the victory of the YSR Congress.(NSS)
