Jagan economic offences crossed all limits, alleges Purandeswari

Union Minister of State for Human Resource Development D Purandeswari on Sunday said that Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy himself was responsible for the situation that he is facing now.

Talking to reporters while participating in the by-elections campaign in Ramchandrapuram assembly constituency of East Godavari district, Purandeswari said that Jagan was facing serious charges of economic offences and his release from the jail appears difficult. He said several industrialists, bureaucrats and political leaders have been facing problems due to the crimes committed by Jaganmohan Reddy.

Purandeswari said that she could understand the pain of YSR Congress party honorary president Vijayamma who lost her husband YS Rajasekhara Reddy in a helicopter crash and now her son is in jail. However, she appealed to Vijayamma to analyse the reasons that pushed Jagan into trouble. She said Jagan committed economic offences at a large scale and crossed all limits of corruption. Therefore, she said Jagan was bound to face imprisonment for his crimes.

The junior HRD Minister said that the Congress party has been implementing various welfare schemes for the people and all its candidates would win with a huge majority in the by-elections to be held on June 12. She said the voters would reject the baseless allegations being leveled against the ruling party by the opposition parties.
