Jagan, Dr JP congratulate scientists for Agni-V

Lok Satta Party president Dr Jayaprakash Narayan on Thursday congratulated scientists and technologists on successful test-firing of Agni -V, India’s inter-continental ballistic missile.

The test exemplifies India’s emergence as a key player in the world of science and technology. It should be viewed as part of the country’s development story, he said in a media statement.

Meanwhile, YSR Congress Party President, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has also congratulated the DRDO scientists for the successful test-fire of Agni-5 that enabled India to join the elite Inter Continental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) club.

“The successful launch of Agni-5, which has a 5,000-km range, is a giant step in the country’s ballistic missile programme and I congratulate each and every member of the team that built the long range missile,” YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said.

India is now a force to reckon with as it stands alongside with US, Russia, China, France and UK in ballistic missile development technology.

Test-fired at the Wheeler Island off Odisha coast, it reached its target in 15 minutes and I join the nation in joy and congratulating the Project Director and his team, Jagan Mohan Reddy said.

Describing Agni-5 launch as a remarkable accomplishment, YSJagan Mohan Reddy said DRDO is well poised to achieve many more such milestones and make the nation truly proud of its advancements in missile technology. (INN)
