Jagan denies Naidu’s allegation

YSR Congress party president and Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy denied Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President N Chandrababu Naidu’s allegation that he had spent huge money to win the by-poll in Kovur. Addressing a public meeting as part of his ongoing Odarpu yatra at Chilakaluri Pet in the district today, he dismissed charge of spending money to win by-polls and alleged that the TDP adopted all the immoral practices to win the election.

‘I have never gone to Secretariat, nor met any officials. I have not telephoned any official either. I am challenging Chandrababu Naidu to prove the allegations’ he said.

Taking a dig at Mr Naidu, he alleged that the latter met Union Home Minister Chidambaram to urge him that CBI inquiry was not ordered against corruption charges on him (Chandrababu). Expressing confidence that the YSR Congress party will win as many as 35 MP seats in the next general elections, he said he would ensure that Union Agriculture and Railway portpolios would be allocated to Andhra MPs.

His father and former Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy had given him a huge family( people of the state) and he is carving out his political carrier on his own, he said. UNI
