Hyderabad, September 24: Congress MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy today appeared to have changed his style of speaking during the ongoing ‘Odarpu yatra’ in Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh.
Jagan spoke in an interactive mode at various places today.
“Whose name come to your mind, when you switch on the motor at your field? The name of the person who gave free power,” Jagan asked and the people responded by saying “YSR, YSR”.
The young MP used to highlight the welfare schemes launched by his father in his speeches earlier.
Jagan has been refraining from making any controversial or political comments in his speeches for several days now. In the wake of allegations of corruption and misuse of power made against Rajasekhara Reddy by TDP and others, Jagan often said there was a conspiracy to defame his late father.
“Rajasekhara Reddy has occupied a permanent place in our hearts. He still lives. That is why his detractors are making false allegations against him. But the allegations would not stand. Those making such allegations would be washed away as people have so much love for YSR. They are trying to isolate me, but they would not succeed,” he said at Marturu tonight.
Despite Congress high command’s reservations, Jagan resumed the yatra on September 3 in Prakasam district, a day after the first death anniversary of his father. The high command, however, indicated that it may not take any action against him for now.
