Hyderabad, May 17: Praja Rajyam (PRP) president K. Chiranjeevi and Kadapa MP Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy, who are planning tours in Telangana region, have received support albeit indirectly from most unexpected quarters – TDP Rajya Sabha member N. Harikrishna.
In a statement, the TDP leader has specifically criticised party colleague E. Dayakar Rao for threatening to thwart the proposed tour of Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy in Warangal district. It was irresponsible on the part of Mr. Rao, who had been representing people for decades, to issue provocative statements, instead of observing restraint in the circumstances prevailing in the State. At a time when party president N. Chandrababu Naidu was repeatedly stating that obstructing visits of political leaders was unpardonable, the statements of Mr. Dayakar Rao amounted to violation of party diktat, he added. The Kadapa MP is planning ‘Odarpu Yatra’ in Warangal. Mr. Chiranjeevi is considering a tour of Telangana on Pranahita-Chevella project on the lines of his ongoing Polavaram yatra. He said any obstruction to one’s personal liberty was nothing but violation of the Constitution.
